My name is Emma Rogers and I’m one of the History Teachers here at the Early College. As a military brat, I grew up all over the country until my parents settled in Chesapeake, VA when I was in high school. I attended East Carolina University and graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a minor in History. During my undergrad I did not have plans to become a teacher, however I fell more in love with history with each class I took. This led me to pursue a M.A.T. in Secondary History Education at ECU and I graduated again in 2017. I’m very passionate about history, especially US presidential history, and as I enter my 5th year teaching at the Early College, I look forward to continuing my teaching career in an environment that allows our scholars and myself to grow and learn.

Outside of school, I love to follow football (Go Colts!), read my growing collection of history books, work on various crafts, and spend time with my husband and our precious Chihuahua, Elvis.
