EdNC Hosts Town Hall with Candidates for State Superintendent

Yesterday, over 100 students from Edgecombe Early College, Tarboro High, Southwest, and North Edgecombe participated in an ECPS Town Hall. The goal of this event was to engage scholars in the democratic process by having them talk directly with candidates running for State Superintendent of Public Instruction and to represent the interests of our young people. We are so proud of our EECHS and ECPS students who brought their voice and concerns to the candidates. Thank you to EdNC for facilitating this event.

EECHS 10th Graders Build Relationships

On Friday, August 23, 2019, EECHS 10th Graders had the opportunity to participate in relationship and team building activities. Thanks to Ron Green and the staff at the Rocky Mount Events Center, our students were able to step outside of their comfort zones and help their peers grow. This helps them create a more unified and stronger team. As Mr. Green stated, "You've got to get comfortable being uncomfortable. The world is not always going to be a comfortable place. You've got to get used to that."
