Allow us to introduce 18 prospective ECPS teachers in our Scholar Teachers Program: our “grow-our-own” teacher pipeline initiative developing our own local Edgecombe talent! Our Scholar Teachers complete four Teacher Cadet classes, 200 hours of local internships, and an associate’s degree while they are still in high school! Our Scholar Teachers work with our very own ECPS classroom teachers to learn the ropes and develop the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to become great teachers!
