Welcome to Edgecombe Early College High School!
Our mission at EECHS is clear:
The EECHS family will create powerful educational experiences that foster academic excellence, personal growth, and global citizenship while cultivating a lifelong passion for learning.
In the science department, we believe in a hands on approach to learning. We often incorporate project based learning where each scholar is able to take control of their own learning process and have the freedom to manipulate variables in their own experiments.
While at EECHS each scholar will take Earth and Environmental Science, Biology, and Physical Science. We also have a Chemistry course which is highly recommended for any scholar who will need to complete it in college.

About Mrs. Trinidad
Mrs. Trinidad holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from East Carolina University. She was a student in the Honors College from 2012-2016 and graduated with honors. Her favorite memory was when she studied abroad in Italy for a semester. She is currently licensed in Secondary Science. She loves to share new and interesting facts with her students when the opportunity arises and has been called a human encyclopedia. The 2023-2024 academic year is Mrs.Trinidad's 8th year as a classroom teacher. She currently teaches chemistry, earth science, and physical science. Mrs.Trinidad speaks relatively fluent Spanish, and knows a great deal of Swahili as well. She enjoys traveling, serving others, and learning about other cultures, languages, and science of course!
Mrs.Trinidad is the faculty sponsor for the No Y Chromies club, a club where anyone without a y chromosome can come and learn about how their bodies work and Dungeons and Dragons club, a fantasy role-play game.
