Teachers will incorporate themes and questions into class discussions to deepen comprehension. Reading Schedule Week 1 (Dec. 2-6): Chapters 1-5 Focus: Introduction to Opal and Winn-Dixie, building character understanding. Week 2 (Dec. 9-13): Chapters 6-15 Focus: Themes of friendship and community. Week 3 (Dec. 16-19): Chapters 16-End Focus: Resolution and reflection on lessons learned.
